Turkey Meatloaf: mashed potatoes/gravy, green beans, rice pudding, LS whole wheat bread, 1 tsp unsalted margarine, juice or fresh fruit and 1% milk.

 

SATURDAY

Chicken with Rice: yellow rice, broccoli, baked plantains, LS whole wheat bread, 1 tsp unsalted margarine, juice or fresh fruit and 1% milk.

Mediterranean Fish Filet: yellow rice, spinach, baked peaches, LS whole wheat bread, 1 tsp unsalted margarine, juice or fresh fruit and 1% milk.

 

The recipes on this page have been developed, or options given, for those who are having trouble chewing and swa llowing. Many recipes that you already may be familiar with can be adapted for easier handling in the mouth just by chopping foods very finely, using moist heat, and/or using a hand/stick blender to smooth the texture of some of the chewier cooked ingredients.
